Authentic and delicious Peruvian cuisine. The Lomo Saltado, Special Chaufa rice and the Wonton soup is very tasty. The food is fresh and the service is like home. Highly recommended.

For a time Jaimito's was one of my parents' favorite restaurants. For that reason we were there about every other week. Then, for some reason, we found the food to be a little inconsistent (too salty or even too bland at times). We decided to come back the other week and I'm glad we did.
My family each ordered pollo con chaufa (chicken and fried rice) and I knew I'd end up eating what they couldn't finish so I went with tallarines verdes (green noodles). We also got a side of fried yuca (cassava).
Yuca fries are great. They have nice crunchy outside with a softer filling. There's a hint of saltiness that keeps you eating them. I enjoy dipping them in a mixture of green sauce and mayonnaise.
The green noodles are like the Peruvian version of pasta with pesto. I'm a big fan of pesto so naturally I really enjoyed this dish. My family wasn't as impressed; -shrugs- oh well, more for me.
Now the chicken is some of the best chicken I've ever had, regardless of cooking style. The meat is moist and flavorful all around (yes, even the breast). Pair the chicken with the green sauce and it's even better.
The chaufa (fried rice) is just as flavorful as the chicken. I suspect they use some of the chicken drippings in the rice to really get some taste. I would be satisfied eating the rice alone.
We've tried a handful of other dishes here but it's the pollo con chaufa that keeps us coming back. -

Jalea and chaufa especial! I get it with the green hot sauce and crema (sp?)
It's very filing and satisfying. Staff is very friendly and I feel like I'm just eating at my aunts house whenever I dine in. -

Please steer away from this awful establishment. I went here to celebrate a promotion from work with my family and instead I got terrible customer service and terrible food. I ordered a lomo saltado and they added more rice than the other items in the dish. Plus, it was extremely soggy. I was so disappointed. Unfortunately, I wanted to spend a nice evening with my family and I didn't get it.

Once again, Jaimito's food never disappoints!! I do not live in the area so when I do come to Clifton I make sure I stop by Jaimito's for their delicious Peruvian food. The staff and the entire place was very welcoming. Food was amazing and I left a very happy customer. Thanks again Jaimito's for a great experience ! If you haven't stopped by, you should and you'll see what everyone is raving about !!
